Open Access Policy
All content in Canadian Food Studies/La Revue canadienne des études sur l’alimentation (CFS/RCÉA) is published as open access. This means it is available free of charge to all readers and their institutions, worldwide. We encourage our readers to read, download, copy, share, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles, crawl them for indexing, pass them as data to software, or use them for any other lawful purpose, without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author. This is in accordance with the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) definition of open access.
CFS/RCÉA authors retain copyright of their work and grant usage rights to others (including this journal), provided the work is cited and/or reused with proper attribution through a Creative Commons open license*. Readers have free and immediate access to the work, with no publication embargo period or requirement to register on the journal website. This is made possible by charging our authors publishing fees, the amount of which is determined according to authors’ access to funding and their Canadian Association for Food Studies membership status. For more, please see our explanation and schedule of fees.
