new AI policy for CFS/RCÉA

Greetings CFS/RCÉA community,

As the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic contexts continues to evolve, we at Canadian Food Studies/La Revue canadienne des études sur l'alimentation have put in place a policy on the use of AI. The policy applies to both submissions for publication as well as peer-reviewer reports.

The policy, which can be read on the CFS/RCÉA website, includes a requirement to complete a disclosure statement if AI is used in the creation of a given submission or review. As our collective relationship to AI changes, we will also adapt the policy as necessary.

Thanks to all those who helped think through the various usages of AI, as well as the appropriate wording and intent of this policy.
